The interior of the 2022 Ram ProMaster improves upon many features of the previous model. It has been modernized in every way possible. Comparisons with other commercial vans show that there is no comparison, except that the gear shift is still to the right of the center of the dash. The trio of climate control buttons from the previous model has been replaced by a smooth, modern panel with digital features and buttons. Two radio push/twist knobs fill the space directly above the new HVAC panel, surrounding the front and middle Ram logo.
A large, beautiful 7.0-inch screen replaced the 5.0-inch screen from the previous model. There is also an available Uconnect® 5C 10-inch touchscreen. The touch screen is a glowing part of the central stack, propelling the interior into a modern space. Uconnect 5 allows features such as an available Amazon Alexa In-Vehicle Assistant and SiriusXM Radio with 360L technology.
What the driver touches and sees will also be different in 2022. The available 7.0-inch full-color driver information display is a remarkable improvement compared to the previous version. This set of adjustable tools shows speed, vehicle information, fuel-saving, travel information, turn-by-turn navigation, and more, all controlled by steering wheel-mounted buttons. Currently, the updated steering wheel is much smaller in the center and has sophisticated control buttons.
The top cup holder on the dash is replaced by two USB ports (one fully functional, one for charging devices), and two USB type C ports can be optioned for quick charging. The vertical wireless charging pad sits in front of three cup holders near the center of the stack in the center. The air vents facing the central screen are divided into four vents to be more orderly.
The 2022 Ram ProMaster is loaded with the latest version of its award-winning 3.6-liter V6 engine. It is linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission, with an engine output of 276 hp and a torque of 250 lb.-ft. With this powerful engine, the ProMaster’s loading capacity is 4,680 pounds, one of the greatest in its class.
Compared to other commercial vans, the ProMaster is more manageable. With its rack-and-pinion power control system, the ProMaster achieves a class-wide turning diameter of 36 feet. Also, the ProMaster has a standard electronic parking brake.
