Car reviewers love the 2022 Ram 1500 Classic’s engine options. The Ram 1500 Classic offers two engine options, both of which have been tested over millions of miles. The standard 305-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine delivers 269 pounds of torque at 4,175 rpm, and an eight-speed automatic gearbox accompanies it. Another option is the 395-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V8. It offers 410 lb-ft of high torque at 3,950 rpm, and it is fitted with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Rear-drive is common across the board, and it is optional for four-wheel drive. Both available four-wheel-drive systems use temporary shift-on-the-fly transfer cases.
